Peter Calhoun teaches violin and viola part-time at Luther College while he is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Musical Arts (DMA) from the University of Iowa.  At the University of Iowa, Peter performs as violist in the University of Iowa Graduate Piano Quartet as well as the University of Iowa Symphony and Chamber Orchestras.  Also in Iowa City, Peter maintains a small private studio.

Peter received his Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude in Music and Philosophy from Luther College and his Master of Music degree from the University of Minnesota.  His principal teachers include Christine Rutledge, Korey Konkol, and Spencer Martin. 

Peter Calhoun joined the Luther College string faculty in the fall of 2005.
