Jitro Girls Choir to perform at Luther College Nov. 14
The Jitro Girls Choir, one of the top children’s choirs in the world, will perform in concert Friday, Nov. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for Faith and Life on the campus of Luther College.
Tickets are $21, $19 for students and senior citizens, and a once a year special youth price of $15 for youth ages 4-14. Tickets are on sale at the Luther College Box Office, (563) 387-1357, open Monday-Friday, 9-10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.-3 p.m.; extended hours Thursdays: open until 7 p.m.

The performance is part of Luther’s Center Stage Series, a chain of professional performing arts events for the 2008-09 year.
Based in Hradec Kralove in the Czech Republic, Jitro is an organization of some 500 children in seven preparatory ensembles. The world tour includes 30 of the most talented of these singers under the direction of Jiri Skopal.
Jitro is the Czech word for “daybreak,” and the group performs in the spirit of this time that holds promise for moments of beauty and inspiration to come. The result is a rare combination of youthful energy and vocal mastery
